Fire at Satmar Shul in Williamsburg

A large fire at the basement of a Satmar Beis Hamedrish and multiple dwellings above left major damages to the building but no one injured. The fire was in the basement of the Satmar synagogue at 109 South 8th Street and Bedford Avenue, FDNY, Hatzolah and Shomrim units all worked to get the fire under control and save all occupants from the above apartments. all sifrei torahs were rescued with no damage
