Symbolic Holocaust Torah Restored

A Long Island, New York, synagogue rededicates a Torah from the Holocaust era, making it usable once again.

Interesting - Lashon Hara will not be tolerated - that is posted before the comment section. However, the comments before mine are allowed. Sadly this kind of inner cultural anti semitism is what will eventually destroy our people. Does it matter who restored the Torah? It is restored. It is beautiful and it is all of ours. We are all Israel. frum, conservative, ethiopian, renewal, reform. we are all one lest we forget, there are many others that wish us gone, we should not help them. I thank the community for this restoration of my people. My hope is for all of us to support each other in the new year and maybe have a restoration of unity and peace.

It is this kind of inner cultural anti semitism that will be our undoing. I am thankful for the community that restored this beautiful Torah to our community. May they use it in health and peace. May all of us have peace in the coming year - all of us - frum, conservative, reconstructionist, renewal, reform ALL OF US!
