Fran Becker Receives Brachah from Viznitz Rav

Fran Becker gets a Brachah of support from Rav Menachem Mendel Hager, the Viznitzer Rav from Bnei Brak and son of the Viznitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak. November 1, 2010.

Becker (Republican) is a Congressional candidate in the 4th Congressional District of New York and is running against Rep. Carolyn McCarthy who has been serving since 1997. NY district 4 is located in central Long Island in west-central Nassau County and includes Mineola, the Five Towns, East Rockaway, Rockville Centre, Oceanside, Garden City, Hempstead, Uniondale, East Meadow, Roosevelt, Franklin Square, Valley Stream, and Elmont.

New York has 29 seats in the House, apportioned according to the 2000 United States Census. Representatives are elected for two-year terms; those elected will serve in the 112th Congress from January 4, 2011 until January 3, 2013. This is expected to be the last congressional election using congressional districts apportioned based on the 2000 United States Census.
