The seventh song in this series features the original release of the beautiful and the not popular enough "Bilvavi" from The Ohr Chodosh, organized by Shmuel Brazil and Yossi Toiv AKA Country Yossi, released in 1971. Music by the Josh Goldberg Orchestra. Arranged and conducted by Josh Goldberg.One of the soloists is Chaim Schertzer, a 13 year old chazan who had performed at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Town Hall of Philadelphia and City Center. He was a soloist in the Sterner Choir and was invited to sing as a guest chazan at various shuls in NY. He was a student at Eitz Chayim Yeshiva of Boro Park.

"Our holy Rabbis explain that the Beis Hamikdash was an external symbol for the Beis Hamikdosh which every Jew is obligated to build within his own heart. Only if one's heart is a fortress of strength brimming with faith and self-sacrifice can one be propelled and elevated to carry out his divine purpose. Before the Beis Hamikdash can be once again established, we must first reconstruct the one in our own hearts".

You would have to speak with Shmuel Brazil about a reason behind a composition.
I did hear that his song "Selach Nah" he composed Erev Yom Kippur after Mikvah. Also the song "Sholom Aleichem" i heard he composed Friday night after his wife said the soup was getting cold and he therefor needed a quick Sholom Aleichem!

The words were composed by Rav Yitzchak Hutner zt"l based on a poem of the Sefer Chareidim.
I thank you sooo very much for uploading this song, along with the English translation & the explanation of what the song is all about. But, more importantly, that you noted the individual who composed the song: Rav Yitzchak Hutner, zt"l, my father's Rosh Yeshiva @ Chaim Berlin, where he received his Smichah.
As teenagers growing up in the 70s, we loved this song, we sang it every Shabbos, it pierced our hearts. Listening to it now, brings many tears to my eyes. The words, the music composition are "magic", are "not of this world". It brings back wonderful memories.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart, to all involved in bringing this song to life and to the internet.
