A violent parolee released from prison less than a year ago was arrested in the slaying of a beloved Brooklyn liquor store clerk, who turned his back on the glitzy world of hip hop to become an Orthodox Jew.
Eion Klass — who served 11 years in jail for attempted murder and robbery — was charged with murder as well as criminal possession of a weapon, police said. Klass — who tried to escape from the 70th precinct stationhouse while he was in custody — confessed to killing Yoseph Robinson while trying to rob the Midwood store, a police source said.
