STEVENSON RANCH, CA [CBS] — Several events were scheduled Wednesday morning to celebrate the Jewish holiday Birkat Hachamah, which takes place every 28 years.
Judaism's blessing of the sun marks when the sun returns to the same position at the same time of the week that it occupied when it was created.
Despite the rainy weather in some areas, services were held at Griffith Park and Richard Rioux Park in Stevenson Ranch, as well as Chabad-Lubavitch centers in Beverlywood, Brentwood Chevoit Hills and Studio City.
