Tmimim Boys Choir at Sesame Place

Yossi Goldstein's Tmimim Boys Choir performing at Sesame Place. Monday Chol Hamoed Sukkos 2007.

COL Reports: On Chol Hamoed Sukkos, the 'Temimim' choir comprised of Crown Heights children performed for a huge crowd in Pennsylvania including many Chareidis. The choir's conductor, Rabbi Yossi Goldstein told COL that the organizers of the event contacted him since they sought out a singer/band that do not perform for mixed crowds. Before signing the contract for the performance, the organizers conditioned the performance with a commitment that the choir would not appear for mixed crowds in the future as well. One of the songs they choir performed with 'L'hios B'simcha' - in a oriental accent while dressed as Bukharians. Rabbi Godlstien claimed that the performance served as a glorification of the name of Chabad, whileting positive eliciting responses from the enthusiastic crowd.
