Walking Bear Re-emerges Months After Last Sighting
OAK RIDGE — "Pedals," the injured black bear who earned the nickname by walking upright, is alive and well after not being seen through much of the winter.
The bipedal bear, who has become a social media darling, was spotted on the Old Woodland trail near the golf course.
The beloved black bear was last seen Dec. 21 in West Milford and there was concern that he wouldn't make it through the winter.
Recently, Lawrence Hajna, a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Agency's Division of Fish and Wildlife, said there had been no reported sightings of him and asked the public for help.
In the latest video, the black bear appears to be in relatively good health and is moving briskly. At his last sighting, he was estimated to weigh approximately 350 pounds.
Pedals is walking on his two hind legs because of injuries to his front paws. Hajna said the black bear would adapt to the injury and that appears to be the case.
The black bear with the distinctive gait was first spotted in August. He's missing part of his front, right leg and has an injured left front paw, authorities have said. The public immediately took to the wounded animal. Kelcey Burguess, a black bear biologist with the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, has said the bear most likely got hit by a car.

The Kleinman Holocaust Education Center
The Kleinman Holocaust Education Center (KHEC) documents the history of the Holocaust.
It tells the story of the perpetrator, what the Germans did to the Jews. It tells a Jewish story, recounting the circumstances, fate and actions of Jews – all Jews -- under unparalleled conditions of oppression and unrestrained efforts at their annihilation. It recounts the history of Orthodox Jews, who faced these conditions through the prism of moral and ethical considerations that govern Jewish religious thought and action.
The KHEC enables both Jewish and diverse audiences of all faiths and background to better understand the Holocaust in its entirety with a special emphasis on the Orthodox Jewish perspective and experience.

Chasidic Schools at Yeshiva Education Fair
VIN News - Students at five Chasidic yeshivos in Borough Park had their moment in the spotlight yesterday, displaying both their creativity and their knowledge of science and social studies at an end of year education fair.
Yesterday’s event, held at PS 180 in Borough Park, is the first of many to come, said Rabbi Avrohom Greenstein, executive director of the recently created Yeshiva Principals Association, which has been working with Chasidic boys schools in Brooklyn to ensure that students receive a well rounded education. Participating principals have been having meetings throughout the year, sharing resources and ideas to improve the quality of their secular curriculums.

"Look After Your Brothers"
To mark 40 years of his widespread public activity, Rabbi Asher Weiss has asked the general public to help spread the message of Torah.
Most people know Rabbi Weiss because of his lessons, which are transmitted throughout Israel and globally to tens of thousands, and for his lectures targeting all types of Israeli audiences.
The partitions that some people place between the general public, the religious Zionists and haredim, do not exist for him. Rabbis from all types and kinds of congregations worldwide often send him their queries.
He has given fascinating lessons in Sderot, Givat Shmuel, Bnei Brak and Jerusalem, as well as the US, South America and throughout Europe.
Many of his students are medical doctors, to whom he is happy to dispense advice on the most sensitive questions.
For the first time, the rabbi told about his father’s last will and testament, and did so in his own voice. The story is embedded hereby in a Youtube video.
Rabbi Weiss wants to partner with the public. The goal is to continue to spread the rabbi’s teachings through his books, to expand the houses of learning by adding rabbis from his best students, to develop the website Tevuna for questions and answers, and to hold conferences on medicine and Halacha worldwide, and other confabs on Financial Laws, at his Beit Midrash for teaching.
This day’s success will make it possible to enlarge the numerous circles of kindness that support needy families and assist the socio-economically weak from all streams/
In the next 24 hours, every shekel donated will be quadrupled by donors from Israel and the world.

Naftali Blumenthal - Godly Tune - Music Video
Just four months ago, Naftali Blumenthal, a young new singer and songwriter, released his debut single titled ”S.O.S. (source of strength)” with a beautiful music video. The song reached deep down inside the viewer/listener and grabbed them, showing them that this new artist had both the chops and composition to make a name for himself.
Now Naftali is back with a new song and music video. The song, “Godly Tune”, is about being in a world full of constant confusion and therefore is easy to think that all isn’t for the best. However one must remember that we are in G-d’s world and even if we can’t see it, all is for the good. The new song was written, played by, and composed by Naftali himself. Naftali teamed up with producer Jake Antelis, who arranged and produced the song. The song is accompanied by a beautiful music video with gorgeous scenery of g-d’s creations; and of course Blumenthal at the keys.
Godly Tune will be available online for digital download on iTunes, Amazon Music, Mostly Music and Spotify.
