Family Kicked off Flight Because Baby Wasn't Masked
Frontier Airlines removed passengers from a flight that was about to depart Miami and take off for New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night after it claimed that members of a Chasidic Jewish family refused to wear masks.
But family members and witnesses claim that the airline staff overreacted to a 15-month-old infant whose face was not covered - even though federal guidelines do not require those under 2 years of age to wear masks.
Other witnesses also alleged that Frontier staffers ‘cheered’ and ‘high-fived each other’ while exclaiming ‘We did it!’ after ordering the Jewish passengers off the plane.
The airline said it has not ‘seen any information to support these claims.’

Thousands Pack the Streets for Funeral Jersey City Victims
Thousands flooded the streets Wednesday night to mourn two of the victims killed after two assailants opened fire at a kosher market in Jersey City.
In Jersey City, crowds of men in black hats surrounded the casket of Mindy Ferencz in the Jersey City neighborhood of Greenville at the site of a synagogue under construction. Hundreds of women, separated from the men as per Orthodox Jewish tradition, were standing in the bitter cold sobbing.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered outside the Satmar Shul orthodox synagogue in Brooklyn to mourn 24-year-old Moshe Deutsch.
As the funeral for Ferencz and Deutsch took place, investigators were still trying to determine what motivated the pair of shooters, who were also killed, to carry out Tuesday's attack.
One of the assailants of the deadly attack in Jersey City market has been linked to the Black Hebrew Israelites movement, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
The shooter, David N. Anderson, appears to have a connection to the movement but the extent of his involvement in that group is unclear,
The Black Hebrew Israelite movement is best known for its confrontational brand of street preaching in urban areas but it has a complex history in the United States, with sects and branches splintering over theological and leadership disputes. A Queens man is under arrest for an apparent anti-Semitic incident that took place at the Five Towns Costco.
Nassau County Police said Justin Pichizaca, 20, threatened two men and an 11-year-old with violence and yelled slurs at them based on their religion.
Pichizaca had nothing to say as Nassau County Police escorted him from headquarters Tuesday, but police said he had plenty to say Sunday inside the Costco on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence. He was caught on video threatening physical violence. The victims were shaken to the core and posted the video on social media.

An Orthodox Jewish man is in critical condition after being stabbed this morning in Monsey,
he victim was walking to Bais Medrash around 5:40 a.m. when he was attacked in front of 2 Howard Drive.
The victim allegedly told first responders that two men drove up to him, assaulted him, and then stabbed him multiple times before driving away. The victim then went unconscious and was taken to Westchester Trauma Center where he underwent emergency surgery.

German Man Arrested After Failed Attack on Synagogue
A German man suspected of killing two people near a synagogue in the country’s east and streaming the assault online was arrested on Wednesday after what authorities said appeared to be an anti-Semitic attack by a far-right extremist.
Witnesses said they saw the suspect, armed with two guns and wearing a helmet with a camera on top, try and fail to gain access to a synagogue in the city of Halle, where some 60 worshipers, including 10 U.S. nationals, had gathered to celebrate Yom Kippur, the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. The suspected attacker then lobbed a projectile over the synagogue gate and started shooting, witnesses said.
Police said a woman was then shot dead on the street near the synagogue and a man was killed in a nearby kebab restaurant. A hospital spokesman said two people were wounded during the incident and treated at Halle’s university hospital.
A senior security official identified the suspect as Stephan Balliet, 27, a German citizen from the state of Saxony-Anhalt, where Halle is located, and said he wasn’t previously known to authorities.
German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said prosecutors had enough information to assume a far-right motivation behind the attack, even though it was too early to make a final determination.

Shocking video has surfaced showing the brutal moment a young man punches a Hasidic Jewish man in the head without provocation in Williamsburg,
The incident took place on Tuesday evening at 7.40pm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the intersection of Marcy Avenue and Rodney Street. The vicious attack was caught on CCTV footage and shows the moment a 39-year-old Orthodox Jewish man walks along the street and is suddenly hit from behind. The victim was hit with such force that he reels forward and his hat and yarmulke falls to the ground.
After the suspect throws his hit, he runs away, looking back at his injured victim.
The young suspect, dressed in a grey sweater and a blue backpack, appears to be smiling as he runs away.
The shocked Jewish man then picks up his hat and runs after the assailant.
'A 39 year-old male victim stated to police that he was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male approached him from behind and slapped him on the side of the face with an open hand, causing pain and redness to his face,' DCPI Spokesperson Detective Sophia Mason said to DailyMail.com.
Police say that the victim did not speak to his aggressor prior to the attack and the punch was unprovoked.
It's not clear what happened after the victim ran after his aggressor.
Following the attack the NYPD and Jewish civilian patrol Shomrim group to the scene, but the suspect had already fled.
There were no arrests made in the case and the Hate Crime Task Force is investigating this as a possibly biased incident.

Eleven people have been killed and a number of others injured after a shooting at The Tree of Life conservative synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday.
Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman, 48-year-old Robert Bowers, walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources also confirmed that eleven people have died. No children are among the deceased. Bowers was reportedly armed with an AR-15 and three handguns. The initial call to 911 was made around 9:54 a.m. and officers were dispatched to the scene within a minute. When officers arrived, the gunman reportedly shot at them, forcing officers to use their vehicles as a shield. Man Charged with Hate Crime in Brutal Assault in BP
A suspect has been arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly viciously beat a man in Brooklyn on Sunday morning. October 14 2018 Authorities said the attack took place at around 7:30 a.m. in Borough Park near 46th Street and 13th Avenue.
Farrukh Afzal, 37, of Staten Island was charged with assault, hate crime, criminal mischief and harassment.
Leopold Schwartz, 62, told CBS2’s Hazel Sanchez on Sunday evening he thought his life was over when a stranger, seemingly came out of nowhere and assaulted him. “I was like this. And all of a sudden… boof, boof, boof, boof!” Schwartz said, referring to the barrage of punches that came his way. “So I start to fight back because it’s either death or life.”
Surveillance video shows Schwartz walking alone when a black livery car screeches to a halt at the curb behind him and the driver, allegedly Afzal, goes right after Schwartz.
Police told CBS2’s Sanchez that Afzal had mistaken Schwartz for another Hasidic man who had hit his car for no apparent reason while the Taxi and Limousine Commission driver was stopped at a red light. “He came out from the car. I couldn’t explain to you how angry he was. He was screaming the whole time,” Schwartz said.
A father of nine, Schwartz said he managed to break free and run into the intersection, but he tripped. “I fell down on the street. All of a sudden he’s on my head again, start to punch me. I screamed, ‘What you want from me?!? Help me please,'” Schwartz said.
A passerby approached to stop the attack, and Afzal went after him, police said. It was distraction that likely saved Schwartz. Witnesses kept the driver at the scene until cops arrived and arrested him. “I’m telling you if he had a knife he would stab me right on the place. No doubt,” Schwartz said.

At approximately 7:30 AM a 62-year-old Jewish man was walking to Shul on 13th Avenue near 46 Street, carrying his Tallis and Tefillin. Suddenly, a vehicle screeched to a halt, the driver got out, and ran towards the victim. He began punching him in his face and screaming at him – all in a totally unprovoked attack. The man broke free and began running, but the suspect once again assaulted him in front of TD Bank.
The NYPD responded to reports of the assault and took the suspect into custody. The vehicle he was driving said “Church Ave Car Service” on it. Boro Park Shomrim were on the scene as well assisting police.
Boro Park Hatzolah transported the victim to Maimonides Hospital with facial trauma.
Hate Crimes Task Force has been requested and are responding to the 66 Precinct.

Florida Man Accused Of Trying To Burn Down Condo
A man accused of plotting to burn down a condominium building in Miami Beach will remain behind bars for now.
A judge denied him bond at his first court appearance, which took place Saturday.
Police say that man was upset with his Jewish neighbors after learning he was about to be evicted.
“I think there’s sufficient evidence here that not only did he have the means to do this but that he was doing it specifically to kill Jewish people,” Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Teresa Mary Pooler said in court.
72-yr-old Walter Stolper’s plans were ruined after police say they found 28 containers of gasoline, sulfur powder, and potassium nitrate inside his building, stashed right under the homeowners’ nose.
“He has a relationship with the, as I understand it, with the actual owner of the apartment so in turn he had access to an exclusive storage room inside the building, so it’s our belief that the defendant had exclusive access to this room,” said Miami Beach police chief Dan Oates.
Police say they stopped the man on Thursday as he was going into his condo at 5601 Collins Avenue with two tanks of gasoline.
