A Home Away from Home | The Tantzers Family Center

When illness hits a family, every child becomes the middle child: All resources redirect to the choleh, and the rest of the family is left alone, shattered, and without a sense of who they are or where they belong. It's a devastating reality that hits home for too many Jewish families.

For years now, Tantzers has been picking up exactly those pieces. Quietly, respectfully, and intentionally, their many programs serve as physical, emotional, and mental lifelines for all those impacted by illness in the family.

All year long, Tantzers returns normalcy and joy. Across a dozen programs, the organization and its tireless volunteers become second family.

Now, Tantzers needs your help to cover its $2 million annual budget, and enable the buildout of an all-new Family Center, Tantzers is raising the roof with its "Making Space" campaign. It's a rallying cry to friends, neighbors, and the community at large to create breathing room and living space for the forgotten sibling, the overworked mother, the stressed father, and the rest of the family.

Tantzers does and will do the work. Quietly, it will continue giving families of Cholei Yisroel a life of belonging. But it's calling on the community to shoulder the cost.
