Alleviating the Pain When All Seems Lost
The family just returned from the hospital after witnessing their father exhale his final breath. They have to get ready for the levaya, to bid their final farewell to their departed father. The atmosphere is tense. The pain is so deep, the emotions so raw. The world just came to an end because……Tatty is never coming back. A marathon of many months running to and from the hospital, just ended abruptly.
But the levaya cannot be scheduled yet. The cause of death was a car accident that occurred several months ago, necessitating the Medical Examiner to sign the Death Certificate, but it is after hours and all investigators have already left for the day. Where do we go from here? What happens next? How long will it take? What is the process?
Chaos and Confusion ensues…
Until Misaskim shows up, and everything quickly falls into place.
Transports, burial arrangement, flight arrangement, Shiva preparation, autopsy and cremation prevention, Medical Examiner Intervention, is just the tip of the iceberg of Misaskim’s services for Klal Yisroel.
In short: When Crisis strikes – Misaskim!
NOW MISASKIM IS TURNING TO YOU! MISASKIM DESPERATELY NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Please visit the Campaign site to make a generous contribution to help Misaskim continue their vital work

Israeli PM Netanyahu welcomes Jonathan Pollard
Convicted spy Jonathan Pollard arrived in Israel from the United States on Wednesday, more than three decades after he was jailed for passing secrets to the state.
The US Justice Department ended Pollard's parole last month, following his 1985 arrest for spying while working as a US Navy analyst. Pollard and his wife, Esther, flew to Israel on a private jet owned by Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire casino magnate and supporter of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Prime Minister Netanyahu gave Jonathan Pollard an Israeli identity card. The Prime Minister told the Pollards that it is good that they have come home where they will be able to start a new life, in freedom and happiness.
Jonathan Pollard said: "We are ecstatic to be home at last after 35 years and we thank the people and the Prime Minister of Israel for bringing us home. No one could be prouder of this country or this leader than we are and we hope to become productive citizens as soon and as quickly as possible and to get on with our lives here. This is a wonderful country. It has a tremendous future. It is the future of the Jewish people and we’re not going anywhere."

Kel Maleh - Benzion Klatzko - Music Video
Composed and Performed by Rabbi Benzion Klatzko
Choir - Pinny Schachter
Music Arranged by Yisroel Ament
Song and Video Produced and Edited by Benzion Klatzko
Filmed at Kumzitz Anywhere Studios by Shlomo Mehlman
Video Violinist - Azarya Klatzko
Download
The Kel Maleh Rachamim is a remembrance prayer for the soul of the departed that is recited by a cantor at a Jewish funeral. Additionally, the prayer is recited during the walk up the grave of an individual who has passed away, on days of remembrance for the deceased, and various other occasions or days during which the deceased is mourned, such as his or her death anniversary. For the first time, this holy prayer is composed to a "musical song" rather than a Chazan's (cantor's) chant, with the hope of bringing a sense of majesty and comfort to the memory of those dearly departed.
The striking images in this video of our Jewish brothers and sisters from Poland, photographed in their original color, were shot within three years of the Holocaust. Notice how our ancestors are looking straight ahead at us, as if to say, "Although we are gone, make us proud and live vibrant Jewish lives!" Like a dream, their memories fade in and out, reminding us that a time will come when we will be the past and our grandchildren, our future and legacy. Let us be the best role models we can be!

Police Use Water Cannon on Protesters Blocking Roads
Police used turned water cannons on hundreds of ultra-Orthodox protesters who were blocking roads in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
Officers could be seen dragging the demonstrators physically out of the street as they attempted to block the path of the water cannon with their bodies.
The demonstrators, who were blocking traffic at the Sarei Yisrael-Jaffa junction in the west of the city, were rallying over the arrest of an ultra-Orthodox yeshiva student who refused to appear at a military recruitment post.
Mounted police were also deployed to clear the demonstrators from the area, while the commander of the Israeli army's ground forces, Major General Yoel Strick, was also surrounded by protesters while driving through the area in his car and had to be rescued by police, according to local media.
Military service in Israel is compulsory for all men and women who are 18 years old, with a long-running exemption for the ultra-Orthodox being scrapped in 2014, while Israel's high court has repeatedly thrown out other draft exemption laws.

Rare Footage: Camp Mesivta Circa 1942
This footage is seeing the light of day after nearly 80 years.
From the uploader: The original 8mm film was shot primarily by my grandfather Harry Haber. He was born in Pomorzany, Galicia, Austria on May 7, 1895, and immigrated to U.S. arriving in New York on February 1, 1910 aboard the S.S. Amerika. The ship manifest lists his last place of residence as Kadworna, Austria. His arrival in the U.S. was two years after his father's immigration to the U.S., and proceeded by one year his mother's and 5 siblings' immigration. (His parents had four more children once in the U.S.)
The film was stored in a box with other slides and family photos. Originally stored in Washington D.C. and Maryland until approximately 2000, at which time the box was stored in a garage in Florida until it was discovered in late 2020.
Once digitized by DigMyPics.com, I was only able to identify my father, David Haber in the film. Only moments after posting a shorter version of the film to Facebook (to the group "Tracing the Tribe - Jewish Genealogy") I received a a message which led to a conversation with a gentleman who identified the location as Camp Mesivta in Upstate New York. This was the summer camp for boys of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn, NY.
The rabbi walking towards the camera on the path with other people at 4:14 in the video has been identified as Rabbi Hisroel Chaim Kaplan. The rabbi with the red-ish beard at 4:30 is Rabbi Shlomo Heiman, at 6:22 is Reb Shraga Feivel Mendelowitz.

Volunteers Dig Through Heaps of Trash to Rescue Tefillin
Volunteers spent hours raking through the contents of a New York City garbage truck to rescue a pair of tefillin that was accidentally thrown out.
A Rebbi in a Satmar cheder in Williamsburg lost his tefillin, and a review of the security cameras showed a janitor mistakenly threw the tefillin bag into the garbage. UJO of Williamsburg immediately contacted the Sanitation Department’s Brooklyn North Chief Jarrit Scotti, who isolated the truck’s contents from the other trash.
Local Jewish news site Crownheights.info reported that a group of men, lead by Yitzchok Neuwirth, donned sanitation suits, boots, gloves and masks and gathered in Varick Avenue Sanitation Transfer Station.
After sifting through the garbage for hours with the oversight of Sanitation Department workers, the tefillin were found, safe inside a plastic bag, and the volunteers cheered.
After discarding their cumbersome sanitation uniforms, they gathered in a circle and sang and danced to celebrate.

Mi K'Amcha Yisroel - Joey Newcomb feat. Benny Friedman
I was privileged not too long ago to go on a trip to Europe to visit the places of our past. One of the toughest days was the day that we visited the Nazi death camps and we were all down and broken as we thought about what took place at such a place of destruction. Needless to say it was an emotional day. That night we went to krakow. And as we were Davening Maariv in the Rema’s shul I started to experience a different feeling. I thought to myself, after all we’ve been through we’re still here if not stronger. I started to think about the words “Mi K’amcha Yisroel” until this song came down.
The sound of this tune has a very happy and upbeat vibe and as we were considering a collaboration on the album, there was no better choice then Benny Friedman who’s a Chossid and a Heiligeh Yid. And he graciously lent us his beautiful voice.

Dear Friends,
I am often asked what music I personally listen to when I am alone, or on long trips in the car. Truthfully, I enjoy the quiet time, but when I do listen to music I almost always choose to listen to “oldies”. Each song that I listen to brings me right back to that specific era of time. I can vividly recall where I was and the specific feeling and inspiration that I got at that moment.
I encourage my children to listen to the music that I grew up on and it has now become their favorites too! I have a feeling that although our generation is speeding fast into the future we also find ourselves longing for the past more than ever before.
What was it about those days that we want to run backwards-towards (if that makes any sense)? Deep down we know the answer. While we are always looking for something new and fresh, the true hischadshus that we seek is already inside of us. The music of the good old days awakens something in us that inspires us to renew…..ourselves. When we listen we feel connected, inspired, and more at peace. That is why it doesn’t cease to talk to us even after all these years. Open your hearts and join me as we journey back and reconnect to some real Jewish music!

LIVE! Rubashkin Celebrates 3rd Anniversary of Miracle
Live on Thursday: Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin will celebrate the third anniversary of his miraculous release at a live event with Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman, Yaakov Schwekey and Shlomie Gertner.
Three years ago on Zos Chanukah 5778 we all celebrated the miraculous release of Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin. It wasn’t just a Nes and a victory for him and his family, it was a victory for us all – a triumph of trust.
As he so clearly demonstrated throughout his ordeal, Emunah and Bitachon are the tools Hashem gave us to overcome adversity. On Gimmel Teves Hashem showed clearly and publicly that trusting in Him will not just help us endure hard times. When we face the hard times with Emunah and Bitachon we will merit the Geulah.
We are all facing hard times and now more than ever we need to strengthen our Emunah and bitachon. Join Reb Sholom Mordechai in celebrating his Ness and in applying its lessons in our lives.
The Annual Night of Bitachon will be Thursday night, Beis Teves, December 17th. The program will begin at 8PM, looking back and celebrating the Ness with the musical participation of Avraham Fried, Benny Friedman, Yaakov Schwekey and Shlomie Gertner. Then, at 9PM, we will look to the present and future at a live discussion and Farbrengen with Reb Sholom Mordechai and his close friend Reb Pinchos Lifschutz on how to face our own situations with Emunah and Bitachon.
If you would like to send a question to be included in the discussion, you can email it to AlephBG@gmail.com or text it to 347-853-4683.

Making History: 1 Million Jews, 18 Min.! This Wednesday!
Making History: 1 Million Jews, 18 Minutes! This Wednesday!
Don’t Miss It!
Chanukah is celebrated each year by millions of people around the world but for the first time in history, this year it can be celebrated by everyone together.

“The world has witnessed much darkness this year” said event spokespersons Mendel Haller and Rabbi Ari Shishler, “yet Chanukah celebrates our ability to overcome impossible odds and band together to generate hope, goodness and light to dispel the world’s darkness”.“The Global Chanukah initiative will see Jews from cities across the globe come together in a united global effort to inspire and to be inspired” they said.
Following the success of the 18 for 18 online Lag B’omer campaign, which connected 18 000 Jews from across Australia, the Global Chanukah initiative aims to unite a million Jews, from countries around the world. Jewish communities around from different time zones will unite at the same time for an 18 minute, high-impact online Jewish experience like never before. Jews from every corner of the globe, from Argentina to Arkansas, Thailand to Tel Aviv, Marseilles to Melbourne, will join together to be moved, to celebrate and to commit to share more light in our uneasy world.
You can be one in a million when you join fellow Jews from across the globe with a single purpose in: To be inspired, to inspire others and to share the light.
The online event will take place on Wednesday 16 December:
2pm New York
7pm London
9pm Jerusalem
6am Syd/Mel (Thursday)
“Chanukah teaches us that a small group, when united, can overcome the greatest obstacles and can illuminate the world” said Mendel Haller, “and we encourage everyone who can to log on during our time zone and become part of history”.

Yaakov Rosenblatt - Al Hanisim - Single
As a child, Yaakov Rosenblatt was a soloist in the Miami Boys Choir. Later, he sang backup vocals on some albums for Mordechai Ben David. Recently, he was featured as a soloist on the Pittsburgher Chasidim Albums.
Yaakov, who now resides in Los Angeles, California, is releasing his debut single in time for Chanukah titled Al Hanisim - In thanks and appreciation to G-d for the miracles that He performed to save the Jewish people from the mighty Assyrian-Greeks. The Jews were miraculously victorious and were able to rededicate the Bais Hamikdash (Holy Temple) and light the Menorah in purity.
The pure oil which was found for the Menorah was only enough to last for one day and night, but miraculously kept on burning for 8 days and nights, until new oil was able to be brought. In celebration of this, Jewish people throughout the world rejoice on Chanukah. They light Menorahs for eight nights of CHANUKAH and utilize this time for extra prayers and songs of thanks to G-d for all the miracles and wonders that He did for them.
Composed and sung by Yaakov Rosenblatt
Arrangements by Sam Glaser
Recorded at Glaser Musicworks Los Angeles, CA

Zusha - Chanukah is Here - Music Video
Illuminating the world effectively begins inwards, ensuring that our home is shining through and through. Chanukah is etymologically related to the hebrew word for education (chinuch). There is nothing more powerful than the education which takes place at home. No matter how brilliant the school system, kids learn the most from their home. As Chanukah comes, we refocus our efforts to kindle flames of faith to illuminate our home and infuse our home with the warmth of holiness and Yiddishkeit. These flickering flames we put by the window for all the world to see, were lit in the intimacy of the home to teach us: You want to make the world a better place? Make your home a better place. Make sure that even if “it’s dark outside”, “it’s light in here”. “Thank You Hashem” because finally, finally - “Chanukah is here”!!!

Yankie Drebin's New Song - My Child - Music Video
This song is about how Hashems love for us is unconditional, the way a parent loves a child. When my daughter was little I used to lay with her every night until she fell asleep, and once she would fall asleep I would give her a kiss and say I love you. One night, after she fell asleep, I was thinking how it doesn’t really make any sense for me to love her so much when there’s nothing she's ever done for me, or ever given me a reason to love her. If anything she only made my life harder, taking on such an enormous responsibility.
That's when I realized that this love that we have for our children is not meant to make sense, because we can’t possibly comprehend the love Hakadosh Baruch Hu has for us. The only way we can possibly begin to understand the way Hashem values and loves each and every one of us is by Him giving us the gift of unconditional love for our children. However good or bad you may think you are, Hashem’s love is unwavering. A child can bring his parents tremendous angst and worry but at no point does the child question the love his parents have for him.
My hope for this song is not only for you to understand this love that Hashem has for us, but to really feel it so that we can continue growing closer to Him.

Shwekey Live Park Concert Highlights (2019)
Just Released!
On Wednesday, August 28th,2019 a concert took place in Rishon Letzion’s “Live Park” massive stage. It was certainly one of the more impressive concerts on the international Jewish music scene, with many hours of preparation invested in making sure it came out just to perfection.
After a full year of highly focused planning of the content, creative media, and design, all produced by Sharon Daniel and his team, Shwekey checked off yet another box on his career resume by hosting both Shlomi Shabbat (Kollot and Ein Od Milvado) and Yonatan Razel (new song called Dovid Hamelech and of course Vehi Sheamdah) If that wasn’t enough, there were surprise performances by Israeli superstar Yishai Ribo (Racheim), and the talented Jewish kid duo Tzemed Yeled, and along the way during the course of the concert, also received a Platinum award from YouTube for having garnered over 100 million views between all of his videos.
The show was just non-stop, it started with a few slow Chuppah songs and ballads, and then just went more and more crazy as the set list went on. Some of the highlights that were songs were oldies such as Shomati, Ben Bag Bag, Ma Ma Ma, and others. Newer hits really got the crowd up and out of their seats, such as Aish, Yishtabach Shemo, Inshallah, and more.
The concert featured an impressive orchestra led by maestro Rafi Greidi, Creative and artistic direction from Izeek Daniel, sound engineer by Moshik Tzabbari, Lighting arrangement by Shay Swisa, as well as many others on the vast team who made this night so truly special.

Geulah 2020: Envision a New Reality - Live!
For the first time ever, women are going global with the annual Yud-Tes Kislev celebration, so that the Jewish international community of women can also savor the beauty of Tanya’s philosophies and experience the enriching climate of Chabad Chassidus.
The mission statement of Tanya, “It is very close to you…” takes on new meaning today, more than ever: …With today’s technology, everyone has fingertip access to the infinite wealth which chassidus offers.
…and standing in the year 2020 we are closer than anyone can imagine, we are in the year of pla’os arenu! The wonders are about to unfold – they are already unfolding – we just have to be discerning viewers.
The theme of the event is Geulah 2020: Envision a New Reality. Indeed, we need 2020 vision to see the wonders of 5781 (and 2021)!
The live online event will feature Rabbi YY Jacobson, Mrs. Miryam Swerdlov, Mrs. Leah Kohn, Mrs. Perl Kransnjanski and Mrs. Shterna Ginsberg.
Spread the excitement to your community and friends. By joining forces with women around the globe, we create a powerful new entity, a gigantic kahal. Together we can accomplish what we cannot achieve as separate communities: the Geula klalis which includes every Jew wherever they may be!

A Kochav - ft. All Star Cast - Gift to Yeshiva Kochvei Ohr
Music holds a key to the heart and soul and can be used as a tool to inspire.
Aside from utilizing his musical talent at concerts and performances, music superstar Beri Weber exploited his musical skill to attract Bachurim who were in desperate need for a warm home where their physical, emotional and spiritual needs will be met. He therefore established ‘Yeshivas Kochvei Ohr’ to do just that.
His fellow friends in the Jewish music industry, who are always at his side utilizing their melodious skill to inspire his precious Talmidim, came through once again by bringing together musical superstars from across the globe to record an inspiring single "א כוכב", which sends a powerful musical message to Klal Yisroel, highlighting the enormous value of every child, and how we must never give up on a single one of them, but to recognize their uniqueness and build upon it, because deep in the heart of every Bachur there is a shining star waiting to be revealed.
Listen to the song, think about its message, dig deep into your hearts and souls, and contribute generously towards the “LIGHT” campaign

Yehuda goes on an adventure to find a shining butterfly, and in the process comes across shimmering caterpillars and beautiful forests that brighten his day, and that of all those around him, including his friend Tzvi, and his father, Dr. Rudy.
The lyrics of the song are about our trust in Hashem and our ecstatic songs of praise for His kindnesses. It was fun to express that in the guise of a caterpillar - which represents our hopes for the good - and the butterfly - which is the revealed good we seek.

Like a Father | Excerpt
In the early years of his leadership, the Lubavitcher Rebbe would officiate at the wedding ceremonies of his Chassidim. But the special merit came with certain conditions. Indeed, the Rebbe counseled many young men and women as they prepared for marriage, often assuming a paternal role for those without parents or family support.
A special video presentation featuring first-hand accounts of the Rebbe's care and involvement in the marriages of his followers. Presented in honor of the 14th of Kislev, the anniversary of the marriage between the Rebbe and his wife, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson.

Yoni Z- Every Yids a Fire
TYHnation Presents: Every Yid’s A Fire
Artist: YONI Z
Composed by: The Blumstein Brothers
Arranged by: Shloimy (Zaltz) Salzman
Lyric video by: BULLSEYE GRAPHICS
Corporate sponsors:GRANDVIEW BROKERAGE and ALPHA EQUITY GROUPS LLC.
The neshamah of a Yid is compared to a flame. At birth you are entrusted with an internal spark, and your job throughout life is to ignite this spark until it illuminates like a full blown fire.
On a deeper level that light represents the small piece of Hashem that you have within you. So if you ever feel down remember “ Kodesh Heim” - *Every Yid is Hellig, because Every Yid is A Fire! *
This Chanukah, let us remember; when it seems that there is an abundance of darkness, we can all unite our inner flames to create a fire so strong it illuminates the entire world as we prepare to greet Moshiach ASAP!

Celebrate the Completion of the first Unity Sefer Torah
A grand celebration will take place on December 6 to celebrate the completion of The Miracle Sefer Torah, begun during the first few months of the worldwide pandemic.
The Torah was begun in an effort to end the pandemic by uniting Jewish people around the world, due to the now-famous story of the Baal Shem Tov’s instructions in response to an epidemic in the town of Mezibush. The excess proceeds raised are donated to Hatzalah
The Torah quickly filled up, with 304,805 Jews of every background joining forces in an overwhelming display of unity, with every letter in the Torah being purchased in the name of a Jewish person from around the world.
During the month of Iyar, the final letters were allocated in the Torah, and organizers Shloime Greenwald, Beryl Junik and Zalmy Cohen launched the Hatzalah-thon fundraiser concert to raise funds for the Hatzalah organization worldwide and highlight the tremendous self-sacrifice of the volunteers around the world who were at the front lines during the height of the pandemic.
Soon, a second Torah was started, with Jews around the world still purchasing letters in the merit of their families and friends.
Next month, the first Torah will finally be complete, and will be dedicated in a grand celebration, to be streamed live around the globe.
The exciting event will feature the Torah completion ceremony and a live concert featuring superstar singers Avraham Fried, Mordechai Ben David, and special guest stars.

Aharon Berk - V'erastich Li - Single
A moving and uplifting Chuppa Song, that brings a fresh perspective to the Chuppa ceremony. This Chuppa song, draws inspiration from the words in Parshas Vayetze (Genesis Chapter 29), which describe the initial encounter of Yaakov Avinu (Jacob) and Rachel, the matriarch of the Jewish nation. These words connote a relationship built on work and dedication.
This message is echoed with the verse from Hoshea 2 21-22, which describe Hashem, G-D’s relationship with The Nation of Israel as a marriage. This relationship begins with an eternal unbreakable bond. This bond is initially characterised by acts of righteousness and justice, and through constant effort, evolves into expressions of true kindness and compassion. The culmination is a transcendent relationship of trust and faithfulness to each other.

Watch Spanish Rider in Death-defying Dodging Crawl
Crashing his bike turned into the least of Spanish rider Aron Canet’s worries during qualifying for the final race of the Moto2 World Championship season in Portugal on Sunday
After taking a tumble at turn eight on the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão, the 21-year-old was left skidding down the track in the face of sparks from his machine.
But then Canet really would have had his life flashing before his eyes, as, slipping in trying to stand up, he then realised he had bikes coming flying at him in a stunningly dangerous situation.
Aron Canet was left in a frighteningly precarious position after his crash during qualifying at the Moto2 World Championship in Portugal.
After two riders flew past on his outside, Canet then somehow got himself in between two others, before being able to crawl off the track away from another and to some sort of safety, putting in a final roll as another rider seared down the hill.

Shazak Parsha - Toldos - Geared for Kids, Great for Adults!
SHAZAK – BRINGING PARSHA STUDY TO A NEW LEVEL!
Thousands of frum millennials grew up with the sights and sounds of Shazak videos and books, Queen of Persia, Out of Egypt, and Miracle lights.
Now, Rabbi Moshe Moscowitz—the creator, voice-technician, and humorist, and designer behind the beloved series—has unveiled the fruits of years of painstaking research, writing, and recording: Shazak Parsha.
Using a blend of audio effects, thousands of custom-drawn illustrations, cutting-edge technology, and a good dose of humor, Shazak Parsha keeps children riveted as they listen, read, draw, and play their way through the weekly Torah portion.
An educator with decades of classroom experience, and an early adopter to technology, Rabbi Moshe Moscowitz is also an accomplished researcher and scholar, a published authority on Rambam and other historic figures in Jewish history.
Since its beta debut last year, Shazak Parsha has become a staple in classrooms all over the world. Recommended for students between the ages of 3 and 103, Shazak lives up to its tagline: Geared for Kids, Great for Adults.
Originally released as an app (for Android and iOS), the Shazak Parsha Experience has grown to include a home or classroom experience with audio and visuals, quizzers, online coloring sheets, insights, mock news reports, games, and just enough humor to keep kids hooked.
“Our students have never had so much fun learning Parsha,” attests Rabbi Avrohom Wagshul, 1st-grade teacher at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy in Beverly Hills, CA. “As soon as I turn on Shazak, the room goes quiet, and I know that we are in for a wholesome learning experience, peppered by lots of laughs.”

Hidden Stories about Reb Moshe Feinstein ft. R' Ali Stern
Hidden Stories about Reb Moshe Feinstein ft. R' Ali Stern | Meaningful People #27
R’ Moshe Feinstein was one of the last of the great leaders and sages from Europe and was a representative of the greatness the Jewish people had before the destruction of the Jewish communities during World War II.
We were greatly privileged to have such a giant here in America. When he passed away in 1986 the Jewish people lost a great and caring leader and one of our last connections to the greatness of European Jewry.

Maybe the Greatest Golf Shot You'll Ever See
Talk about birthday luck.
Jon Rahm, on his 26th birthday, produced potentially one of the all-time best golf shots during a practice round on Tuesday ahead of the 2020 Masters.
The Spanish golfer skipped the ball across the pond on hole No. 16, as is tradition in the practice rounds in the lead-up to the iconic major in Augusta, Georgia.
But after taking a favorable bounce when the ball made land on the other side, it weaved all the way across the lush Augusta green and finally into the hole for a remarkable hole-in-one.
