VIN - The family of deceased Neturei Karta leader, Rabbi Moshe Hirsch, celebrated the engagement of a granddaughter this past Motzei Shabbos. The granddaughter, age 17 ½, is engaged to a yeshiva student, age 15 ½.
The wedding will not take place for another year and the couple plan on living in Meah Shearim.

Anti Kapparos Activists Tastes Her Own Red Medicine
Usually the animal activists are the ones tossing the red paint, but last night a woman’s home was targeted, allegedly because she’s the founding member of the Alliance to End Chickens as Kapparos (which is the annual chicken sacrificing ritual performed around Yom Kippur).
From the author: "As a founding member of the Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos, I have our banner hanging on the second floor of my 3-family house in Boro Park, Brooklyn. When my son came home at 11:30 last evening (11/13/2010), he woke me up to inform me that someone had splattered red paint all over our front door and porch. Although we suspected it was anger at our banner, we weren't sure until, while giving a police report, we noticed that someone had painted our sign with a roller.
Freedom of speech is legal. Destruction of private property is not. I called the Shomrim (the local security group), who (when they learned what the issue was) said they could probably not help.
This is not only an act against property. Both my son and I are asthmatic, and these fumes are detrimental to us and to our rescued animals.
This act of vandalism is particularly troubling - especially since it was clearly done by so-called religious people. I would appreciate your covering this story. Maybe it would help us find the culprits."

It's wasn't the average trip to the supermarket for the Potter family.
Rick, his wife Mandi and two children, Jade and Riley, were on their way to Wal-Mart at around 2.15pm on a Saturday afternoon when they spotted a horse cruising along in the back seat of a car beside them.
The astonished family couldn't believe their eyes so whipped out a video camera and captured this amazing footage on the I-75 highway between Osage City and Topeka in Kansas.
